Menses / Heat Cycle

My Great Pryenees will be 1 year old on August 31 2021.
As of today, July 29th, she has still not had her first menses.
Should I be concerned?
Anything to do?
She is 75 pounds so far.
I was waiting until after her first menses to have her spayed.
Any advice?

Just my 2 cents.We have had 4 prys.2 females.as a pet we were gave the suggestion to try and wait until 2 years old. Simpley cus they still growing inside.so that's what we did.up to you what you decide. Vets where we live in va just Don't understand the breed.

Some lines the bitches only come in season yearly rather than every 6 months. We have had females come into season approaching her 2 birthday. I would not be concerned until after she is 2. Should there be medical issues prior to this age certainly speak with your vet…
