typical pyr

We lived in the small town of Fort McMurray Alberta, we had been there for 4 years. We had a golden retriever named Nelson, and a Great Pyrenees name Daisy. We had adopted her through the spca as she was 5 months old and was very timid and shy due to the new home.

When she was around 2 years old, we had an intruder break into our home. The man broke open our window, and walked in and stepped on our golden retriever(Not much of a threat if he doesn't like getting licked to death), then our pyr Daisy heard the window shatter, she bolted down stairs and she pinned the man against the wall.

The RCMP (Canadian police force) had been called from our neighbour's house because they had been broken into as well. The police arrived and took the man down and placed him under arrest. The natural guarding instincts had saved us from a potential threat to our family.

R.I.P. Daisy 1999-2012.

Good Girl, Daisy!

That is great - that is exactly why I just adopted my sweet, shy 7 month old Pyr. :)
