Freya - my 7 month old Pyr

Freya - my 7 month old Pyr

So glad that France is ok!

I just adopted a 7 month old Pyr and I am in love with her! She's very sweet, gentle, intelligent and obedient and I intend to teach her to be a therapy dog because I think she would be wonderful at it (she seems to intuitively know when someone is down and goes and gives them love).

She's great with kids and other dogs and will follow me everywhere even though a lot of things are intimidating since her former owners never took her anywhere and she hasn't experienced a lot of different things (it was cute watching her experience a creek, stairs and a bridge on our first hike! She quickly gains confidence after her first encounter with every new thing.)

But the primary reason I got a Pyr is for what you described - I want a gentle guardian who will protect me, if needed, while I am hiking and sleeping, and it's so wonderful to hear these inspirational stories about Pyrs.

I love how you captured the story from all the different Points-of-View! :)

Your family sounds wonderful and thank you France for keeping them all safe!
