short and sweet
by: Ed from NJ

Talk about right to the point! Your answer is yes. But the real question is does it want to? Both of mine prefer not to. My female don't even want to walk through a puddle or even go out in the rain. Let it snow and neither will come in. My wife will make them come in, towel them down then they wait for her to leave the room and scamper back out the doggie door. Just one more thing, they will do what ever is needed to protect you. My male was sitting pool side when a splash fight started in our pool, in a blink he was in the water and making his way to me. I grab him and got him out of the water. He swam quite well but was pissed the rest of the day, I think he realized I was just playing and it was a false alarm.

Depending on the Pyr
by: Donna

Some like to swim, some can swim but don't particularly like to and some love to swim.

My first Pyr sank like a stone. My present Pyr can swim but isn't keen on it. I have seen other Pyrs who seemingly love it!
